In you O Lord, I put my trust Let me never be put to shame. Deliver me in your righteousness and cause me to escape Incline your ear to me and save me. Be my strong refuge, to which I may resort continually. You have given the commandment to save me. For you are my rock and my fortress. (Psalms 71:1-3) The quality of care that a child receives generally determines the outcome of his or her adult life. When children become 18 years of age, they are “emancipated” from the system. That means that no one is legally responsible for this new adult - which in turn means no one has a legal obligation to care. These children no longer have anywhere to call home. Even though the majority of our children have lived in an institution or facility, they still had a safe haven, but never a place to call home At Seven Springs, we are here to offer these children a chance for a place to finally call home. Also to be able to prepare those before they turn 18 to be productive young adults. To teach them how to love themselves again and let them know there is still love for them.
